August favourites!

August has finished, that means back to school is just around the corner (cheeky post coming). This month usually makes me sad because summer is over, evenings become quite chilly and all of a sudden you realize that your beloved three months of holidays are gone. Although I have to admit that I'm VERY excited for autumn and can't wait to walk around without sweating 24/7. A few things have been on my bedside table, make-up drawer or just in my mind :)

Favourite clothes: this jumpsuit from H&M (I got it a while ago and it was on sale, can't find it online)

Favourite accessory: I adore this bag! Perfect size, can be used both night and day. Bought this one at H&M too.

Favourite make-up/skincare related: Loreal micellar water, it's less popular than the Garnier one. I've
tried both and there's absolutely no difference, i have loreal's just because it was on a 3 for 2 offer.
Lovely, kind to every skin type and useful to us lazy girls. (I tried 20 times to take a decent photo of it but couldn't, sorry)

Favourite random thing: sunsets. They just look gorgeous every single night.

Favourite film: the D.U.F.F., classic American teenage comedy. If you want to have a laugh and you are looking for something light-hearted.
Favourite book: I had too much homework, couldn't read anything and I'm quite a bookworm :(

Colouring books!

When it comes to drawing I'm the worst, but somehow I've always enjoyed colouring. A few days ago, my mum was adding some books to her amazon's wishlist when a colouring book popped out. I have been interested in these for quite a long time so I finally decided to buy one and see what all the fuss was about. If you google "colouring books for adults" hundreds of them will appear and you'll be able to choose your favourite. Most popular ones are Johanna Basford's (check out her website here, it looks almost as gorgeous as her books). I wasn't sure if I would have enjoyed colouring books and to be honest they all look quite complicated. I managed to find one that looked easier and the name of it (The Mindfulness Colouring Book: Anti-stress art therapy for busy people) convinced me to buy it. I also bought these just because I saw them in one of Alfie's vlogs and he said Zoe loved them (I know creepy me). I coloured for a good 15 to 20 minutes without getting bored and after it I felt much more relaxed and problem-free. It could just be me but I think you should give a try to those colouring books everyone is raving about :)

First Lush haul and reviews!

Being a massive lover of Lush (saying "massive" always makes me think of Harry *embarassing giggle*) there are a few product that in my opinion stand out from all the others. My favourite products have to be bath bombs and fresh masks (thank God we have Cupcake or my face would be covered in spots and redness). Beside these I think the "Fresh Pharmacy" cleanser and the "D'Fluff" shaving soap are also lifesavers. So roll on to the proper haul thingy, I bought:
 (I've used everything before)

-Karma Bubble Bar:
 the scent is a bit strong, they sell it as "exotic orange and patchouli fragrance" so you can imagine it yourself. Crumbling this into your bath you get a decent amount of bubbles but I have to be honest, they won't last until you get out of your tub. If you are looking for something different from classic scents this is absolutely perfect. It leaves you as a fully energised new person.
(I'm not too sure why but in Italy we still have the old version apparently)

-Space girl: you have seen it everywhere on Tumblr for sure; it is my favourite bath bomb since I first discovered Lush. It turns your water in a lovely purple color with red and gold glitters, leaves skin soft and last but not least the fragrance is just lovely (fruity but not sickingly sweet). This is also cheap compared to other bath bombs, you get a full size one for 3 euros something.  Links: not available online anymore, check this out *not copying her I just think her photos are amazing :)*

-Thank God It's Friday: an avocado and lemon scented bath bomb, perfect for a morning bath, I would say it is almost as moisturizing as Butterball, turns bath water in a light green shade with a few gold glitters. In its simplicity it does the job: a fresh smelling bath bomb to use in summer, after sports, or just when you feel a bit under the weather. Links:

-Ickle baby bot/Uforobò: shaped in a tiny light blue robot, it is meant to be for babies or children's bath time. Having a lively 5 years old sister running around singing without even the smallest of thoughts to go to bed, when I bought this for the first time my mum was excited to see if it worked and IT WORKS. It's probably our 10th and still buying, I would definetely recommend it. Links:

-Tea tree toner tab: pop this in a bowl filled with boiling water, amazing for an at home facial. It has tea tree oil in it so useful for spots but quite drying on the skin, always moisturize after. Fresh smell, not too expensive but effective. My brother is having greasy skin at the moment and this has helped a lot.  Links:

-Honey I Washed The Kids/Nonsimangia: Lush cult! Rubbing this between your hands you can smell honey and caramel. What else can I'll be tempted to eat it. Links:

Hope you liked this post, if you did leave a comment below :)

Posts in english/italian!

I want this blog to be in English, because:

  •  if I'll ever have readers I'd like them to understand and being able to read no matter where they come from;
  • if I'll ever have any bloggers as friends I'd like to meet someone from the UK maybe or any English-speaking country;
  • I just find that I can actually express and be myself.
Please don't think I'm one of those girls who say things like: "OMG I love tea, One Direction, Primark and Lush, I want to be British" or "London is my favourite city, I want to live there because of the Big Ben". I think a blog is a place on the internet where you can be yourself, that's it! I do love my language and my country. I'll put links of Italian websites and talk about Italian things too.

                                                                                                                             Giulia x

Welcome to my blog! I'll talk about make-up, food, books, lifestyle and whatever comes across my weird brain. I'm not an expert when it comes to computers, html and whatever haha. If you're feeling sweet or generous "subscribe" (not too sure what am I supposed to say) to myhappylittleplace and it'll be OUR happylittleplace.
